SYCAMORE – Forty-nine high school and forty-four middle school students (93 students in all) from the Sycamore School District were selected to participate in the 2013 Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) All-District Orchestras, All-District Bands and All-District Choirs.
Students who made All-District groups performed ILMEA-selected music for judges in competitive auditions in October. The students who were selected spent one day in rehearsal, and the groups performed later the same day. This year, The All-District Jazz festival was held at Rochelle Township High School on Saturday, November 9, and the All-District Orchestra festival was held at Augustana College on the same date. The All-District Band and Choir festivals were held on Saturday, November 16 at DeKalb High School.
